Bring Me The Horizon - Vans Warped Tour 2008

Bring Me The Horizon...were definitely one of the break out acts at this year's Warped Tour. Playing on the smaller "Smartpunk" stage didn't stop them from drawing a very sizeable crowd. However, it consisted mostly of skinny teenaged boys in skinny jeans with terrible haircuts and even more obnoxious teenaged girls screaming for vocalist Oli Sykes like he was fucking Justin Timberlake or something. It was definitely something I NEVER thought I'd see happening for a band that is basically 2nd generation Deathcore. This was another band that I walked away from after only a few songs...although it had nothing to do with the band sucking live, but moreso because I just couldn't stand to be near their fans anymore.
Despite the terrible crowd that the band draws, they still manage to put on a decent show (or at least, that's my conclusion based on the few songs I did catch), and they're worth checking out.....but only if you can stand to be surrounded by tons of ecstatic teen boys who want to be Oli Sykes, and teen girls who want to be with him. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.
