Greek power metallers Firewind were definitely the oddball on this tour, as they were the only band on the tour that wasn't entirely "extreme" in any real sense. No screaming vocals, no heavily distorted guitars...just soaring clean vocals courtesy of vocalist Apollo Papathanasio, and lots of power metal shredding from virtuoso guitarist Gus G., and his lesser known but equally capable partner in crime, guitarist/keyboardist Bob Katsionis. Even for those who aren't fans of power metal, they were quite entertaining. Of course, the best song in their entire set was the instrumental song toward the end of their set, where Gus and Bob got to trade off some seriously wicked leads...
