Protest The Hero was easily one of the most amazing bands that took part in this year's Warped Tour, and it's rather unfortunate that they ended up on such a SMALL stage. That being the entirely too small Ernie Ball stage. Another sad fact is that PTH probably had a total of about 200 people there to catch their set at Warped. The good part was that those 200 or so people were genuine fans, and they showed it when the band kicked things off with "Bloodmeat". Singing along to the entire song, including the random bursts of scat that vocalist Rody Walker throws into the mix. All in all, Protest The Hero played a great mix of songs from both Kezia and Fortress...though the rather small turnout is a sure sign that Protest The Hero needs to find the right tour with the right crowd. Hopefully their upcoming tour with Unearth will provide them with the audience they need to bring the band up to the level they should have already been at.
