Rings Of Saturn Invades Hot Topic!0 COMMENTS
Author: Anthony :: Posted: Mon Sep 06, 2010 3:22 am

Northern California's fast rising East Bay space tech death metallers, Rings Of Saturn, will see their debut album 'Embryonic Anomaly' unleashed in select Hot Topic stores this week. This edition of 'Embryonic Anomaly' was pressed exclusively for Hot Topic and will likely be the last chance to grab a physical copy, so be sure to hit your local store and grab yours while they're available. A list of locations where the cd will be available can be found here. In anticipation of the release, Rings Of Saturn have teamed up with www.Puregrainaudio.com to offer the track "Seized And Devoured" as a free download. Check out "Seized And Devoured" at this location.

Recorded at Mayhemeness Studios (Journal, Shadow Of The Colossus), 'Embryonic Anomaly' is an album that easily stands out amongst the clutter of todays 'core' dominated scene. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Bob Swanson (Aurora, Havenside, The Wrath Of Vesuvius), the album showcases a level of technical shred and knack for song structure that puts them on a level playing field with their more seasoned extreme metal peers. Artwork for 'Embryonic Anomaly' was handled by Tony Koehl (The Black Dahlia Murder, Dismal Lapse).

The track listing for 'Embryonic Anomaly' is as follows:
1. Invasion
2. Seized And Devoured
3. Abducted
4. Final Abhorrent Dream
5. Corpses Thrown Across The Sky
6. Embryonic Anomaly
7. Annihilating The Pure
8. Grinding Of Internal Organs
9. End Of Humanity

Rings Of Saturn
have gained praise and positive support from some of extreme metal's heavyhitters including Whitechapel, Conducting From The Grave, Viraemia and Slaughterbox. The band has also partnered up with an exclusive Management team comprised of Anthony Delgado (Loudside.com / RebelPyro Management) and Zach Householder (Whitechapel). Adding to their list of accomplishments, drummer Brent Silletto has landed an exclusive endorsement deal with Saluda Custom Cymbals, and guitarist Lucas Mann is set to become the latest addition to Basson's Artist Roster.

Though young and somewhat inexperienced, Rings Of Saturn's drive and determination remain steadfast. The band's consistent DIY promotion efforts coupled with a constant push from their Management team has created an undeniable buzz within the underground, and the band's live performances have proven that Rings Of Saturn are ready to set a new standard and redefine extreme metal for the next generation.

Phathom Frontman Matthew Sikora To Release Solo Album Sept 20 COMMENTS
Author: Anthony :: Posted: Tue Aug 31, 2010 6:40 am
Matthew Sikora, best known as the vocalist and guitarist for hard-rockers Phathom, is set to release his self-titled debut solo album on September 21st, 2010 through Hardline Entertainment. The album was co-produced by industry veterans Mike Sutherland (Pennywise, Slightly Stoopid) and Bruce Sikora.

"This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. Just me and my guitar, pushing on down a road that's unpredictable. In the Phathom world, I come up with the core of the song, then collaborate on it with the band to finish the song. But with this new endeavor on my own, I get to see my vision all the way through to the end," commented Sikora. "Phathom has a very distinctive sound, and not every song that I write in the valley of Crescenta is going to fit with that sound. There was only one thing left to do as the songs started to pile up. Putting myself in the studio to hit the record button, my first solo record was underway with the man who introduced me to music in the first place, my father, Bruce Sikora taking a producer roll with Mike Sutherland. Ryan Fogle accompanied me on Drums, as well as long time bass player Terry Linvill, who played with Chuck Berry and The Captain & Tennille. J.P Gonzalez, of Elegy, also jumped in and was manning the keys to create my organization of sound and silence."

Sikora has honed his skills recording and touring for over a decade as a part of Phathom. The Los Angeles based outfit has performed with everyone from Avenged Sevenfold and Strung Out, to Unwritten Law and toured with the Vans Warped Tour. Sikora's solo debut truly showcases Matthew's ability to create and exciting blend of soul-searching, ethereal, yet down and dirty alternative rock.

All Shall Perish Guitarist Posts New Video On GuitarWorld0 COMMENTS
Author: Anthony :: Posted: Tue Aug 31, 2010 12:59 am

All Shall Perish's new guitarist and Berklee College of Music graduate, Francesco Artusato, has partnered up with Guitar World Magazine to present an in-depth instructional video lesson series breaking down how to play some of the most intricate parts from his all instrumental solo endeavor entitled 'Chaos and The Primordial'. The disc is an all out technical shred fest features 10 truly diverse tracks that takes the listener on an all encompassing musical journey and the depth and diversity in which Artusato does so is astonishing. Click on the link below to watch the second lesson now and stay tuned for additional episodes over the coming weeks.
http://www.guitarworld.com/article/artusato_video_lesson

Artusato
states: "I just got back from the 'Summer Slaughter' tour, which was amazing. What a great collection of great and talented bands. I want to thank all All Shall Perish fans for being so amazing and supportive, you rule! Now it's time to go to Europe for the "Hell On Earth" tour.

"My second lesson on Guitar World has also just been posted, so go check it out. Its two examples from the song 'Typhoeus' and I explain the intro solo and the chorus section. This is probably one of my favorite songs from my new solo album, 'Chaos and The Primordial', mainly because of its contrasting nature and the intricacy of some of the parts. It's also very heavy.

"You can also listen to the song, 'Chaos and The Primordial', in its entirety on my MySpace page now. www.myspace.com/francescoartusatomusic It's a very technical and intense song that has a progressive vibe with some very open and lyrical parts mixed with very powerful moments of intensity and complexity. There is also going to be a lesson on Guitar World about this song very soon.

"Thanks again to Guitar World for hosting these lessons, and stay tuned for additional episodes over the coming weeks."
