Jacknife was formed in December of 1999 in Greenville, Texas. With line up changes and 2 EP's under their belt, Jacknife have graced stages across the United States, making friends and increasing their fan base with their aggressive and highly energetic hardcore-metal live performances. In March of 2003 the band entered the studio to record their second five song EP, entitled "Silenced No More", with D. Braxton Henry of Blood Ties (Counter Intelligence Records). The EP was mastered by Alan Douches (Hatebreed, Sworn Enemy, Shadows Fall, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Beastie Boys, etc.) at West Westside Music in New Jersey. In August of 2004 Jacknife once again entered the studio to record the long awaited follow up to Silenced No More, the end result is "Today We Fight" a powerful 6 song effort pushing the limits of Hardcore and Metal to a new limit. Mixing elements of old school metal like Iron Maiden and new Metal like Killswitch Engage the band has a brand of Metal that is making waves around the states.
