Tehachapi California cannot be found on most maps. The towns population redefines the notion of the one horse status. Tehachapi is a dark secret, hidden by a veneer fog and oak trees. This strange land breeds zombie like drug addicts, teenage mothers and hate. Five teenagers formed The Warriors coincidentally the high school mascot to wage war against the bane of Tehachapi and all of it’s constituents. Marshall Lichtenwaldt, Mike Preisendorfer, Javier Zarate, and Donny & Danny Phillips performed in and around their native homeland with the only intention of providing an alternative recreation to the gratuitous drug use and teenage pregnancy that plagued their youth culture. Their blend of Early 90s Hardcore with a new school attitude spawns from their primary influences of Inside Out, Refused, Cro-Mags, and Sick Of It All. A seven inch was recorded and released on Straight On Records in the year 2003. The Warriors were then able to deliver their music to a world-wide audience. The seven inch was later re-released on a split CD courtesy of Straight On Records. The twilight of ’03 saw a new professional drive behind their music. With an non-stop show schedule and more mature sound The Warriors rapidly gained the credibility and respect of their peers. The Warriors are passionate about the perseverance of Hardcore music and attempt to resurrect the aspects that have fallen to the wayside in the past decade. They provide furious music for furious times. There’s no salvation for a world gone mad, upon which the Warriors wage war.
