SICADIS (Si-Kay-Diss), inspired by the insect the cicada, they stay underground for over 17 years only to surface to mate and make sounds for the season before DEATH. That is the philosophy behind the band, to stay underground, to finally surface out of the larvae stage to metamorphosis, to unleash its potential and fulfill its destiny... Early 2005 former Roadrunner Records recording artist Lance"KUK" Collier (of downthesun) joined forces with Cam (Killfloor), and Patrick Renk (Raise The Remains), Aaron Henges (Raise The Remains), and Derek Thompson (Evermourn) all veterans of the KCMO metal scene, sick of all the bands that look and sound the same SICADIS was born.
