In the winter months, of 2002, in the seaside college town of Wilmington, NC, five friends embark on a mission to spread a new wave of rock n’ roll to the world. Formed from the ashes of the well-known bands, Pacific Radio Fire and The Falling After, a unique blend of rock and hardcore was born. Playing shows since December 2002, rarely a weekend has passed where Idea of Beauty hasn’t hit the pavement, playing another town. Having played and toured with such bands as Between the Buried and Me, This Runs Through, Beloved, Classic Case, Alli with an I, and Evergreen Terrace. IOB is proving them selves as a driving force in the NC scene. With two tours already under their belts and many more already being booked, Idea of Beauty will be a household name in no time. In such a short period of time the guys in IOB are showing that they’re a force to be reckoned with.
