It seems as though Trustkill is trying to lock in on Victory's current formula of seeking out and signing bands that have a better shot at mainstream success than any of either labels older band rosters. Fightstar is obviosuly the Trustkill version of Hawthorne Heights (or any other recent Victory signee for that matter), only not nearly as pathetic and whiny. There's a slight rock vibe to them, almost like mixing Nickelback in with the aforementioned emo band.

Taking that into accord, it's a wonder that radio and MTV haven't picked up on this band and over-played it to the point of annoyance. Musically, in spite of having an obligatory scream thrown in here and there, 'Grand Unification' pop soaked lyrical content, and pop rock sensibility to be yet another contender in the "Next Big Thing" category......at least where worthless mainstream media outlets are concerned, that is.

Bottom Line: If nothing else, Fightstar will find themselves nestled comfortably in between 2nd and 3rd tier radio rock bands like Trapt and The Lost Prophets, and emo rock trash like Taking Back Sunday, Saosin and (the previously mentioned) Hawthorne Heights. Recommended ONLY if any of the bands mentioned above are up your alley.
