Tommy Cummings Attacks Dino Cazares And His Wife

Divine Heresy guitarist Dino Cazares and his wife Jennifer were attending the Rockstar Mayhem Festival this past weekend in Southern California, and while hanging out backstage they were attacked by former Divine Heresy vocalist Tommy Cummings. Jennifer Cazares has posted a blog on her Myspace Page regarding the incident. Here's her account of what happened:

"Last night @ The Metal Mayhem Festival, Having a great time with awesome friends backstage. Out of no where comes a beer and fist straight to my face (so horrifying and painful) that.....somebody (Tommy Vext). He has my husband by the hair (it all was so sudden) next thing you know the live nation guards pushed us all over stopping everything and it took several guards to take Tommy down, they took him down and he hit his head on the ground cutting his head open, and even then he was still pulling my husband's hair, and not letting go. I was struggling to get out of this mess of people. I don't really realize what's going on!

Tommy Vext, (New Snot Singer,Ex-Divine Heresy) tried attacking Dino for no reason, I was terrified I feared for my life this guy 5 times my size he could of killed me literally. I assure you absolutely unprovoked. Everybody knows Tommy has a history of being a loose canon and ready to explode at any moment.This is the 2nd time Tommy has assaulted Dino in recent month's the 1st assault being in Poughkeepsie New York. To make matters worse we had the sherrifs escort us out because we truly feared for our lifes and as we were escorted out Tommy yelled "ALL YOU FAGGOTS IN CALI NEED SECURITY GUARDS YOU ARE ALL PUSSIES".....Does this mean everywhere we go we always have to worry that this lunatic is going to attack me or my husband at any of the events we are working? Or Dino is signing at?. I was working for Revolver Magazine And Musicians Institute and Dino was doing a signing.

This really worries me because me and Dino are working on having our first baby and I can't have this kind of drama going on everywhere we go not to mention my health and stress. This doesn't help when you are trying to get pregnant or already are pregnant in the early stages.Seriously a girl should never experience something like this by a man's hand. What? F*ck that! Dino is an extremely reputable musician who, I feel, has done a lot in the metal music scene and is respected by a LOT of people. He decided to give Tommy a chance to actually be somebody in the music scene, and he repays him by getting himself kicked out of the band, and then blindsiding Dino like a bitchmade punk kid. And with his pregnant wife getting mixed up in it all. That's just trash to me. And you're here all the time Afton, I thought you'd have more respect for Dino than that. Either way, Divine Heresy is some really good music, but Fear Factory will always be legendary in metal history. This is just my opinion. Keep it out yo butt

Dino is a very good musician. I never said anything against him, or his wife for that matter. In reality that was a horrible thing that Tommy did, but if you really think about it...i dont know, it makes me laugh. Just the thought of him walking up and punching Dino's WIFE in the face. Realistically, not funny, but honestly now...everybody has those moments where they say "I'm going to hell for laughing at this." This is one of mine.

This was defintiely NOT cool to read, and would have been even less cool to witness.

I've met Dino, and while he's not the most social person in the world, he was cool enough. He's pretty matter of fact though, and I can see how that could be misinterpreted or misconstrued to where some people would just think he was a big prick. But again, he was pretty cool with me, and I think he's been in the business long enough to where he shouldn't have to deal with bullsh*t like this, especially from someone who he had given a chance to make a name in the business.

And to make matters worse, he hit Dino's wife!?!? A female who might in fact be pregnat!?! That's completely unforgiveable. It proves without question how much of a genuine piece of sh*t Tommy is.

And Afton....idk man. Seeing someone smash the pope right in his fascist face for allowing people to believe he's some deity in the flesh, or the closest thing to it....that would easily be something worth "going to hell for" because you laughed about it. Seeing someone randomly bitch slap the likes of Billl O'Reilly for spewing forth his ultra conservative ignorant views, that would be hilarious! But this.....

Hopefully the dudes in Snot see him for who/what he really is, before things get bad in that camp.....
