I began to think about how the film industry could work together to make more money, and I figure that if they just took the films in release every weekend and mashed them together then they would always have 100% of the Box Office. Take this weekend for example, instead of 5 films in release, why not just one about a vigilante whom gets invovled in the 1950's rock and roll/jazz movement, who eventually wins a Nobel prize for chemistry but is then involved in watergate only to travel back into time to try to correct it all. Now doesn't that sound like a film for the whole family???
NO???
OK! That might be a little too much plot for one film, so maybe the studios got it right with splitting up the titles PUNISHER: WAR ZONE, CADILLAC RECORDS, FROST/NIXON, NOBEL SON and TIMECRIMES, they have been doing this a lot longer than I have... well actuallY I don't do what they do at all, but you get my point...err.. or not! N-E-who, as always make sure to check out the links below for release and cast and crew info as well as the official trailers for each of the films in release this weekend right here at LOUDSIDE.COM ENTERTAINMENT!

YAHOO! MOVIES has the HD trailer up for STEVEN SODERBERGH's biopic on Che Guevara which stars BENICIO DEL TORO as CHE which is due in theatres January 24th, 2009!
In other "Chi" news, the bassist from the DEFTONES Chi Cheng was involved in a very serious car accident weeks back and currently remains in a coma after the incident. As with these things it is always positive thoughts that help aid the recovery of all that are involved (family, friends, fans), so if you are like me and a DEFTONES fan swing by their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/deftones) to let those involved know they are in your thoughts.
I apologize for getting off topic, but also I don't!

Yes it is one of those odd holiday weeks where we here in the united states feast on turkey flesh, pumpkin innards and slaughtered potatoes. No, no I am not one of those vegans or veganarians or whatever they are calling themselves now-a-days, but I do like to make my meals seem as brutal as possible so when future society's come accross my works they will hold me in the same esteem as the mighty Ghengis Khan, but anyhoo I digress from my initial point. That being that this week films be hitting the theatres a bit earlier than other weeks and that day is Wednesday.. or in other words today! So as always check out all of the films you can find in releases today below including Sean Penn and Gus Van Sant's MILK biopic, the Baz Lurhmann epic AUSTRALIA with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, and of course the Vince Vaughn/Reese Witherspoon family comedy FOUR CHRISTMASES and Jason Statham's 3rd entry into the TRANSPORTER series hit theatres as well!

The button eye look very well could take hold and we may very well start seeing legions of mindless youths basically sew their eyes shut, though probably not. Either way 2009 is shaping up rather nicely especially with the addition of the Neil Gaiman written CORALINE which stars the vocal talents of Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher and Ian McShane. Keep reading for the official synopsis and the official trailer for FOCUS FEATURES CORALINE which will be in theaters February 6th, 2009!
Synopsis:
Adapted from the Hugo Award-winning, internationally best-selling novel, Coraline is a spine-tingling tale about a curious girl who unlocks a mysterious door in her family's new home and enters into an adventure in a parallel reality. On the surface, this "Other World" eerily mimics her own life - though it is much more fantastical. In it, Coraline encounters different versions of her own life, including off-kilter neighbors and an Other Mother who attempts to keep her forever. Ultimately, Coraline must rely on her resourcefulness, determination and bravery to get back home.
