Virginia's up and coming thrashers, Adversary, have just launched a complete album preview of their debut album "Singularity". Click here to listen!
Recorded at Assembly Line Studios in Vienna, Virginia with Kevin "131" Gutierrez (Raven, Dysrhythmia) behind production, 'Singularity' delivers ten tracks of intense, riff-heavy, bone-crushing power.
When the band was in the studio recording 'Singularity', powerhouse independent label Trustkill Records caught wind of them and without hesitation made them an offer, the band immediately inked the deal with the label. Together they plan to catapult this infectious, vitriolic sound into the consciousness of the heavy music adoring masses.
"When we started this band it was with the intention of doing everything, from songwriting to business, the right way. Accepting the offer from Trustkill was an easy decision. We now have on our side one of the biggest independent labels in the heavy music world, and one that understands what we have to offer to heavy music." - Brad Ryder (Adversary)
"It has been a long time since I've heard a band come out of nowhere with 10 songs of absolute metal perfection. Adversary are not the sound of today, they are the sound of tomorrow. Classic metal that even the most finicky of listeners will no doubt appreciate. We are excited to see what happens with Adversary when everyone hears the music!" - Josh Grabelle (Trustkill)
Look for the bands Trustkill debut, 'Singularity', in stores and online November 11, 2008.

Bay Area thrash progenitors Exodus will return to touring in support of 2007’s 'The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A' with Germany’s Kreator, Austria’s Belphegor, and California’s Warbringer.
Exodus guitarist/songwriter Gary Holt checks in from his home in Northern California with the following:
“If you can believe it, we’ve NEVER toured with Kreator even though Mille and I go WAY back. We’ve played occasional festivals together and played 5 shows back in ’97 on Summer Metal Meeting with them. We’ve always had a LOT of fun with them, so I’m looking forward to spending time with old friends Kreator, new friends Warbringer, and soon-to-be-good-friends Belphegor.
We’re pretty damned happy to be playing nine shows in Canada because Canadian cities tend to get overlooked. The last time we were in Winnipeg, Calgary, and another city which I can’t remember right now, those shows were full of 17-year-olds and they went insane. Those dates were the best on that tour!”
Tickets for this tour are on sale now exclusively through www.EnterTheVault.com through October 31st. As of November 1st, tickets go on sale through all normal ticketing outlets.
Exodus’ next album, 'The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit B' is due out by Summer 2009.

The Greek metal sensation, Firewind, just completed a highly successful UK headlining tour and are now preparing for another massive European run this Nov. in support of their highly acclaimed album, 'The Premonition'.
Mark Cross (drums) recently recorded an instructional lesson that can now be viewed below, as well as on the band’s official YouTube page. Stay tuned for new episodes featuring vocal lessons from Apollo, and additional Gus G. clips, which should be posted over the next couple of weeks. Also, don’t miss out on their new live video for “Head Up High,” shot by aspiring new director Bob Katsionis (Firewind keyboardist), which can be viewed now on their MySpace page.
Gus G. (guitars) checks in with the following report: “So, we’re back from our UK tour! It was a very smooth nine date run for us and we are very happy with how the whole thing went down. To start with, we had two killer bands with us: Kiuas and Dear Superstar. All very nice guys and good live bands. Our crew was top notch and amazing people. So if the foundation is right, the rest can be a piece of cake. Right? Well, actually our feelings were mixed. Stressed and excited. We didn’t know what to expect, as this is only the 2nd time we were headlining in the UK and many of these places we visited for the first time. We didn’t know if anyone would turn up for these gigs. We were in for a surprise.
“All shows were packed with our crazy fans (some sold out) and you guys have proved that the UK has some of the most hardcore Firewind fans, if not THE most hardcore! If you ask me for highlights, I don’t know what to choose from. Nottingham and Glasgow were insane as always, Dublin has a special place in our hearts after such a warm welcome on our debut show, Manchester, Leeds and Wolverhampton were louder than hell, London was stressful, but beautiful as always and Milton Keynes and Peterborough were great to wrap it up, even though we felt we just started getting on fire! Cheers to all of you. I have a premonition that the European shows will be just as good. See you all soon.”

I realized something last week, and this was something that blew my mind so you may want to anchor yourself as I tell you that movie studios actually release more than one film into theatres weekly!!! I know, I know you have trusted LOUDSIDE to let you know about such things and with our singular "BOX OFFICE BUZZ" pick has made you believe that is the only film out there to see any current week. Saddly this is just not the case. So in hopes to remedy this situation I have created my new (and pretty sure my first) weekly news article "PERPLEXED at the MULTIPLEX" where I will give you a quick rundown of the films hitting theaters each week and a link to each films LOUDSIDE page filled with info on each film, the trailer, official site and links to their respective pages at IMDB.com. So with no further interruptions here are the films coming to theatres 10/03/08!
